Biographical Notes:

“The death of Mr David Pallant son of Mr W J. Pallant. of Palmerston North, occurred at the hospital yesterday. Deceased who was a returned soldier, was 50 years of age. Leaving with an early reinforcement he saw service in Egypt and France with the Veterinary Corps, and was invalided home in January 1918. He was a patient in the King George Military Hospital at Rotorua until three months back, when he came to Palmerston North. Mr Pallant had been a keen volunteer before the territorial system came into force and held a long service medal. He leaves a widow and one child, The deceased will be accorded a military funeral. “
