Biographical Notes:

"John Fountain Lunn, aged 47, a returned soldier who is believed to belong to Christchurch, was found dead in his bed at the Trocadero Hotel this morning. It is understood he was discharged in March last after nearly three years service with the Veterinary Corps. He came here from Christchurch three weeks ago, and was employed by the Railway Department. He had been suffering from heart trouble, and had consulted a doctor, the last time being on Sunday night. No inquest is necessary."
