Biographical Notes:

"Mr Leslie Evan Thomas, (sic) aged 34, who was found unconscious on tthe side of the Great South Rioad, near Papatoetoe, yesterday, died at Auckland Hospital early this morning. Mr Thomas came from National Park to Papakura Military Camp as a member of the Forestry Company. It is believed he was knocked down by a motor-car during Saturday night."
