"Private Albert Victor Soper, husband of Mrs E. V. Soper, is reported to have been killed in action. He was the son of Mr and Mrs Henry Soper, Garston. Private Soper was born in Garston and was educated at the Garston school. He spent most of his time as a high country musterer and was well known in the Northern District."
