Biographical Notes:

During a formation flying exercise from Woodbourne, Alec collided with another aircraft. The other plane, flown by LAC J J Fox landed on the beach near the Awatere River mouth, but Alec crashed into the water. Wreckage of the aircraft was recovered, but Alec’s remains were lost.
