Biographical Notes:

Andrew was the pilot of  a Tiger Moth that collided in mid-air with another of the Taieri flying school’s planes.  His left lower wing collapsed  causing a spin and  crash. The other pilot managed to land safely. [For Your Tomorrow, Errol Martyn, Volume 2, Page 202]
