Biographical Notes:

 NZEF 6/400 in WWI and NZ4216493 RNZAF in WWII (enlisted at Rukuhia as a Cook & Butcher, 17 Nov 42). He died 22 Feb 1947. Would not have been still serving at the time (most likely demobbed 1945, if not earlier). ‘Improved’ his age when enlisting in RNZAF – stating he was born 6 Nov 1896 instead of  true date of 6 Nov 1888. {Errol Martyn}
