Biographical Notes:

"The following air casualty was announced yesterday:— Pilot Officer Arthur Vivian Fisher, killed in aircraft accident. Father: Mr. A. Fisher, Paeroa, rural delivery. Pilot Officer Fisher, who was 23 years old, was formerly employed on the clerical staff of the Department of Agriculture. A very keen footballer, he was also an enthusiastic Territorial, and for several years served in an artillery unit at Hamilton. After joining the Air Force he was trained at Rongotai, Taieri, and Wigram, and early this year he left for England.” [AIR CASUALTY,Evening Post, Volume CXXX, Issue 35, 9 August 1940, p9]
