Biographical Notes:

Died when as he dropped 2 depth charges from his Fairey Swordfish aircraft, that exploded beneath the plane in the Firth of Clyde.

His “vessel” is given as HMS Shrike – but that is his Squadron’s shore base in Northern Ireland and he could have been operating from there or a base in Scotland.
