Biographical Notes:

"CORPORAL E. C. JASPERS Officially reported as accidentally killed while serving with the Expeditionary Force in the Middle East, Corporal Edward Carr Jaspers was the son of Mr P. Jaspers, of Nelson. and formerly of Paeroa. After serving his apprenticeship in the electrical trade at Paeroa. Corporal Jaspers joined the staff of the Te Awamutu Electric Power Board, where he was employed when he enlisted in the first echelon."
