Biographical Notes:

“The body of Aircraftman E. A. Walker, the victim of the mountain tragedy, was brought to the Fox Glacier Hostel yesterday afternoon. At the inquest a verdict was returned of misadventure, no blame being attachable to the guide in charge of the party. The remains were brought by car to Hokitika and left this morning by aeroplane for Auckland for interment. The fatality occurred on Saturday evening at the head of the Fox Glacier, South Westland, Aircraftman Edwin Athol Walker, of Auckland, falling over a precipice 150 feet deep. He was killed instantly. “
