Biographical Notes:

Henry Wilson's date of birth is given on his headstone as 29 June 1879, this is the same date of birth he gave when he enlisted for service in WW1. At that time he gave his place of birth as England. When he attested in WW2 on 18 July 1940, he gave his date of birth as 29 June 1987, and his place of birth as Hastings, New Zealand. According to his baptism record in "London, England, Church of England Births and Baptisms, 1813-1923", he was baptised on 17 October 1880 at Holy Trinity Church, Haverstock Hill, London, and he was born on 29 June 1880. This latter date is what we have taken as the correct date of birth. To a degree this is supported by the entry for him in the 1891 England census where his age is given as 11 years. The enlistment details shown are for WW1. [NZWGT]

The woman's name mentioned in this listing is an unusual one but the correct spelling, as is seen on the headstone, is Tareti Zealandia Wilson, née Thompson.
