Biographical Notes:

"Mrs V. Hunt, of Christchurch, has received word that her son, Private Leslie Libeau Hunt, was killed in action on June 7th. Private Hunt was in his nineteenth year, and was the youngest of four of the boys at the front. The late private Hunt was the eighteenth son of the late Stephen Hunt, of French Farm. He was a lad who was well respected and loved by all who knew him, and all will sympathise with Mrs Hunt and family in their great loss. Private Hunt left with the 16th Reinforcements, and had only been in France a few weeks before be was killed as he had been in hospital after reaching Home. Mrs Hunt has three other sons at the front, viz. Wilfred, Oliver and Lucien. The late Private Hunt is the second youngest of a family of twenty-seven children."
