Biographical Notes:

Took off from HMS Indomitable to attack railway yards at Port Sigli, Northern Sumatra, but suffered engine failure shortly after take- off and ditched the plane. His crew were rescued by HMS Raider. [For Your Tomorrow, Errol Martyn, Vol 1 p 257]
