Biographical Notes:

"SHALLOW WATER DIVE - The death occurred in the Waikato Hospital on Saturday of Corporal William Leonard Moyle, aged 21, of the Ngaruawahia military camp, as the result of an accident. Deceased was swimming in the Waikato River near the camp. He miscalculated the depth of the river and dived into water less than 2ft. deep, striking his head violently on the bottom and fracturing his neck. 

Corporal Moyle was married five weeks ago. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Moyle, of Puriri, Thames, and had been in the army about three years.
