Finningley (Holy Trinity and St. Oswald) Churchyard Extension

There was a Royal Air Force station here during the war and only a hedge separated the aerodrome from the churchyard extension. During the early part of the war ground was set aside for Air Force burials, and this plot, which has been acquired by the Commission, is now the war graves plot. There are 44 Commonwealth burials of the 1939-45 war here, 1 of which is unidentified. There are also 29 Non World War burials here.

In the adjacent churchyard there is 1 Commonwealth burial of the 1914-18 war and 2 from the 1939-45 war.There are also 5 Non World War burials here.
