Member of the Long Range Desert Group. Died of wounds in a POW camp in Germany.

Anecdotally, wounded 9.2.1945 in crossfire between Russians and Germans while being evacuated from Ruckenwaldau POW Camp, Poland and died in an army hospital at Modlau, Poland and believed to be buried nearby.
