Biographical Notes:

While dogfight training off the coast off Columbo (Ceylon/Sri Lanka) , he collided with another aircraft from his  squadron, who managed to bale out.  Frank, who was  Squadron Commander, was not seen to leave the aircraft. HMS Bheranda was a naval air base situated at Columbo Racecourse.
