Biographical Notes:

DEATH AFTER RETURN - ACCIDENT IN ENGLAND, WHANGAREI, Friday As a result of injuries received while in England, Lieutenant Mervyn Vance Wilson died at the Whangarei Hospital this afternoon. Lieutenant Wilson, who was 32 years of age, went overseas with the second echelon in an anti-tank unit. He was injured during manoeuvres in England and invalided back to New Zealand, being discharged from the Army shortly after his return.
