Alamein Memorial

Alamein is a village, bypassed by the main coast road, approximately 130 kilometres west of Alexandria on the road to Mersa Matruh. The first Commission road direction sign is located just beyond the Alamein police checkpoint and all cemetery visitors should turn off from the main road onto the parallel old coast road. The cemetery lies off the road beyond the ridge, and road direction signs are in place approximately 25 metres before the low metal gates and stone wing walls which are situated centrally at the road edge at the head of the access path into the cemetery. The Cross of Sacrifice feature may be seen from the road.

Khayat Beach War Cemetery

The Cemetery lies 5 kilometres south-west of Haifa on the Tel-Aviv highway. From the main Tel-Aviv highway No. 2, join road No. 4. After 500 metres the cemetery is on the right hand side but it is hidden from view behind a wall. The entrance is the second gate along this wall. Once inside, the cemetery entrance is on the right hand side, 100 metres along.

Krakow Rakowicki Cemetery

Krakow is a city in the south of Poland about 290 kilometres south of Warsaw. From the A4 WROCLOW to KRAKOW motorway continue to the end, following signs for KRAKOW CENTRUM. The road then changes to the A7 PASTERNIK. Continue for approx 4 kilometres to a roundabout. At the roundabout follow straight ahead along JOZEFA CONRADA then OPOLSKA. Continue for approx 4 kilometres then turn right into AL. 29 LISTOPADA (at a large crossing after passing under a railway bridge). Take the first left into JANA PRANDOTY (there is a petrol station on the corner). Please note that there is limited parking around the cemetery during holidays. On entering the cemetery continue straight for approximately 100 metres then turn left (CWGC signposted) and continue for a further 200 metres where the Commonwealth War Graves plot can be found. New Zealand Naval Memorial, Devonport, Auckland

The Royal New Zealand Naval Memorial stands at the Devonport Naval Base, H.M.N.Z.S. Philomel, within sight of the main gates and in front of the chapel of St. Christopher.

Tangmere (St. Andrew) Churchyard

Tangmere is a small village and parish in the Rural District of Chichester, 66 miles south-west of London. It is 3 miles north-east of the city of Chichester. The churchyard of St. Andrew, which belongs to the ecclesiastical authorities adjoins the R.A.F. Aerodrome at Tangmere and the Rector is the Station Chaplain. It has been used for the burial of airmen from this station both before and since the 1939-1945 War. There are 39 Commonwealth burials of the 1939-1945 War, all airmen, 1 of whom is unidentified. There are 13 German Air Force burials here, 1 of whom is unidentified. The majority of these airmen were killed during the Battle of Britain. The Commonwealth war graves are grouped in three rows on the western side of the church, and beside them is the single row of German graves.
