Biographical Notes:

"A second military funeral took place |in Nelson this afternoon when Private  Harry Patrick Honor, aged 21 years, late of Wakefield, was buried. He  belonged to the Ist Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast Regiment and died in the Wairau Hospital. Requiem Mass was celebrated at 6.45 o'clock this morning. The funeral party proceeded at a slow march from McPherson and Day’s mortuary chapel this afternoon with an escort of 16 under  Sergeant H. Davey, and a bearer party of six from the 15th Independent Mounted Rifles. Lieut. S. C. Davies represented the Army. At the graveside the Last Post was sounded by Corporal Hamilton, and the service was conducted by Father Seymour."
