Biographical Notes:

"A soldier was killed and four others injured when the truck in which they were travelling overturned on Greenstreed Road, near Ashburton, yesterday. They were— Killed Private Albert Ernest King, aged 20, of 107 Arthur Street, Dunedin. Injured Lance-Corporal Walter Russell Fox, aged 20, of 75 Ban Street, Momington, Dunedin; head injuries and abrasions. Private Andrew Roger Harvey, aged 28, of Waikaka, Gore; fractured thigh and general injuries. The two others were treated aa outpatients. Private King died before admission to hospital. The truck, which contained seven men, got out of control in loose gravel and overturned."
