Biographical Notes:

During formation flying practice, his Warhawk collided with another in the formation, as he increased speed to overtake. His aircraft fell, out of control, to the ground at Flock House, Bulls. The other pilot managed to retain control and return to the airfield at RNZAF Ohakea.
