"Private Archibald Aitchison, of Heriot, eldest son of Mrs C. M. Aitchison and the late Mr Robert Aitchison, has been killed in action. Private Aitchison was 40 years of age and he was born at Heriot, where he received his education. He later took up farming and went overseas with the 4th Reinforcements.
