Biographical Notes:

An airman pilot under training, Leading-Aircraftsman Bryan Walter Lambourne, was killed at Kaiapoi this morning, when an aircraft of the Royal New Zealand Air Force crashed during dual training instruction. The other occupant of the machine. Pilot-Officer Kenneth Sinclair Blair, was not injured. Lambourne's next-of-kin is Mrs M. Lambourne, of Mount Albert, Auckland, his mother. The cause of the accident is obscure.
