Biographical Notes:

"Found lying in a paddock suffering from a revolver shot wound in the head, a New Zealand soldier died shortly after admission to the Auckland Hospital yesterday. He was Mr. Cecil Harold Timmins, aged 31, married, of 10, Arapuni Avenue, Onehunga. Mr. Timmins was found in a paddock in Namata Road, Onehunga, by a State housing tradesman working in the vicinity. A revolver was found beside the injurered man. Mr. F. K. Hunt held an inquest this morning, when a verdict of suicide by shooting was returned."
