Biographical Notes:

"The death occurred at the Auckland Hospital on Thursday last of Mr Cullen John Finlayson, of Whangarei. The late Mr Finlayson was well-known in Cambridge, having married some years ago Miss Jean Caw, daughter of Mrs S. Lewis, of Grosvenor Street. Entering a military camp 12 days ago, Mr Finlayson contracted meningitis, from which he died. Aged 40 years, he was a son of Mrs and the late Mr John Finlayson, of Kiripaka, Whangarei.

The funeral took place at the Maunu Cemetery, Whangarei, on Saturday."
