Biographical Notes:

During a solo training flight in a Tiger Moth at Tieri, collided at 300ft with another of the school’s aircraft which had turned, preparing to land. At the time of the collision, the sun was low to the horizon and may have been directly in the sight of both pilots. The pilot and instructor in the other plane survived with injury.
