Biographical Notes:

"Struck by a bundle of steel which glanced off a truck when a crane sling broke at the Royal New Zealand Air Force station at Rongotai on Monday, an aircraftman was knocked backward, striking his head heavily on the concrete paving. He suffered serious head injuries, from which he later died. A court ot inquiry is being held. He was Aircraftman Grant David Cole Love, son of Mr. J. Love, of Halcombe."
