Biographical Notes:

Horace was with the landing force at Gallipoli on the 25th April 1915. 

Wounded, shot in the head, on the 28th April, saw him evacuated to hospital at Heliopolis, Egypt, by the 2nd May and placed on the “dangerously ill” list. Finally being removed from the list in mid-July, he was transported back home on the Willocra on the 28th September 1915.
