Biographical Notes:

 "A military funeral will be accorded the late Private Hugh Stafford, of Ruby Bay, Nelson, whose death occurred at a Wellington hospital yesterday from  broncho-pneumonia. The body is being brought over by the steamer Kaitoa, which will arrive here tomorrow morning. The Territorials, H Battery, and all Cadet units will assemble at the Drill Shed at 1.30 to-morrow afternoon, to take part in the funeral ceremony.
