Biographical Notes:

“SUICIDE AT FEATHERSTON CAMP. Private James Cruickshank committed suicide in the vicinity of CanvasTown, Featherston, on Thursday or Friday last by cutting his throat with a razor. The deceased was on parade on Wednesday, but as he did not appear on Thursday a search was made, and the body was found on Friday. The deceased, who enlisted at Wellington, has no relations in the Dominion.
