Mrs Charlotte Booklass of Morpeth, Hunter River, is "stated" to be his wife. However his medals were sent to his sister, as his wife was considered to not be a "fit and proper person" to receive the "momentoes"  There is also notation of his father, John Booklass, c/o Commonwealth Steel Products, Sydney, on his service record.
