"Advice has been received by Mrs. A. Manoah, of 17 West View Road, Grey Lynn, of the death of her eldest son, Signalman John Edward Manoah, who died in Egypt on October 11 as a result of injuries suffered in an accident. Signalman Manoah was born in Auckland and was educated at the Westmere. School. He enlisted with the first echelon."
