Biographical Notes:

Testing a Hurricane following an engine replacement, a coolant sealing ring blew, spraying boiling coolant over the windscreen and pilot. Attempting to land with poor visability, he came in at too steep an angle and crashed. He was killed when thrown from the aircraft.
