Biographical Notes:

"An inquest into the death of Private Leonard L. Williams, of Temuka, who died on Sunday night after falling from a train at Burnham, was opened yesterday morning before Mr E. C. Levvey, Coroner. Williams was identified by his brother, Private Harry Hamilton Williams. Private Leonard Lancelot Edward Iles said that Williams had alighted after the train had started, having lingered to finish a conversation with an acquaintance.
