Biographical Notes:

On a flight from Ramleh (now in Israel) to Ismalia, he went off course and was forced to land in the Sinai desert. His body, and that of the passenger, AC1 P. Thacker, were found a week after landing, on mountains near Nekhl.  A Court of Enquiry agreed that the date of death was that of the flight and that exposure was the likely cause of their death.

Although born in Australia, he was in New Zealand before he was 12 years old. He enlisted and travelled with the NZEF main body, before transferring to the RFC and RAF.
