“Official notice has been received by Mr Robert Scott, of Ngarua, that his son, Sergeant Robert Scott, of the New Zealand Entrenching Battalion, who was reported some months ago to have been wounded in action and believed to be a prisoner of war, is now listed as killed in action on April 16th. Prior to enlisting Sergeant Scott was engaged in farm work at Waihou. On the declaration of war he proceeded to England with the New Zealand Main Body.
