Biographical Notes:

Took off from Woodbourne on a cross country navigation exercise, with 4 others and did not return. Despite an extensive search, lasting a week, his plane was not found.

In 1980, the wreck and his remains were discovered by hunters, in thick bush near Otaki Forks in the Tararua ranges and the pilot’s remains were buried on-site.
