Biographical Notes:

Stanley Jones' death is noted in the WW2 RoH, as an accident by warlike means. It is possible that Stanley was one of those held prisoner in a compound at Bardia (Libya). The official history of the 2ND NEW ZEALAND DIVISIONAL ARTILLERY states that
"On the same day, ( referring to 7th Dec 1942) by an unkind twist of fate, a gunner of 42 Battery held captive in the Bardia compound was killed by an RAF bomb."
