Location Information:
Aarestrup is a small village in mid Jutland some 25 kilometres south west of the port of Aalborg, and approximately 3 kilometres east of the E45 motorway from Randers to Aalborg. From the south turn off the E45 at junction 33 to Haverslev and then turn right onto the local road signposted to Aarestrup. Proceed back under the motorway to the village, and on entering the village the large white painted church can be seen on the left. From the gate at the entrance to the churchyard the war graves plot can be seen some 15 metres away on the left hand side.
Historical Information:
Aarestrup Churchyard contains the graves of ten Commonwealth airmen. One Dutch naval officer is also buried here.
