Biographical Notes:

Eric Langridge was a well know racing cyclist. En-route from Taumarunui to a road race in Nelson, he was critically injured when thrown from his bike as the dynamo slipped into the wheel.

 

" Eric Alfred Langridge, who was admitted to the Nelson Public Hospital on Monday, suffering from a dislocated fracture of the neck, received when he was thrown from his bicycle, died in the evening. The deceased, who was an airman at the Air Force station at Nelson was a married man, aged 25. His wife resides in Onehunga."
