Clifford Henry John Millar
Son of Peter Millar, and of Amelia Millar (nee Watson), of Woolston, Canterbury.
Caught in a severe hailstorm, he was seen at 500 ft, fabric tearing from the wings of his Oxford. Gradually losing height and control, he crashed at Yaldhurst, 4½ miles from RNZAF Wigram.
