Albert Edward William Scully
Son of Mrs. E. Scully, of Port Nelson, New Zealand. Born at Nelson, New Zealand.
SS Umgeni left the Clyde in convoy on 7th November 1917 bound for Lagos. The convoy ran into bad weather and the ships became separated. SS Umgeni was never seen again but bodies and wreckage from the ship were washed up along the West coast of Ireland, the victims being recorded as drowned on 9th November 1917.
