Biographical Notes:

"When he was riding a motor-cycle out of the Harewood aerodrome yesterday afternoon, Owen Bertie George Sutton, a, flight rigger at the aerodrome, collided with a shingle lorry driven by R. W. Smart, and was killed instantly. The collision occurred as Sutton was riding on to the intersection of Burnside Road and Russley Road, from the extension of Burnside Road giving access to the aerodrome. The driver of the lorry suffered slight injuries for which he was treated at the Christchurch Public Hospital."
