Alexandria (Chatby) Military And War Memorial Cemetery

Chatby is a district on the eastern side of the city of Alexandria, between the main dual carriageway to Aboukir (known as Al Horaya) and the sea. The Cemetery is located centrally within the main Alexandria Cemetery complex, which is bordered by Al Horaya on the south and the electric tramway which is parallel with Sharia Champollion on the north. Visitors can reach the entrance to the cemetery along the road Sharia Anubis, which lies centrally north/south through the cemetery area. This cemetery has a central front entrance building with a metal gate/grill secured archway leading into it from two small grassed areas which form part of the roadside in front of the cemetery, which is bounded by a rendered wall.

Cairo War Memorial Cemetery

This cemetery is within the Old Cairo cemetery area, which is situated approximately 5 kilometres south east of the centre of Cairo. The cemetery area is on the south side of the road Salah Salem, which runs west/east from the River Nile towards the green park area approximately 2 kilometres beyond and eventually towards the Citadel. The cemetery is surrounded by a high wall and the double entrance gates are along Sharia Abu Safein. This road is parallel with the railway line which runs south from Cairo main station and both railway and Sharia Abu Safein cross over the main road. Access up to Sharia Abu Safein is by using the northside ramp above the main road underpass, on the east side of the railway.

Chunuk Bair (New Zealand) Memorial

The Anzac and Suvla cemeteries are first signposted from the left hand junction of the Eceabat- Bigali road. From this junction travel into the main Anzac area where you will encounter a right hand turn at 7.6kms. Follow this road for a further 6.1 kms. when you will arrive at the cemetery and memorial. The cemetery is in the lower point of the ridge and the memorial obelisk is located to the North West of the cemetery. Hill 60 (New Zealand) Memorial

Hill 60 (Kaiajik Aghyl, or Sheepfold of the Little Rock), on the 60 metre contour line, is the end of a range which runs south-eastward to Hill 100 between Kaiajik Dere and Asma Dere. Hill 60 (New Zealand) Memorial is situated in Hill 60 Cemetery, which lies among the old trenches. It is reached along an 800 metre track, which requires a 4-wheel drive vehicle during wet weather.

Lone Pine Memorial

The Lone Pine Memorial is at the east end of Lone Pine Cemetery. The Anzac and Suvla cemeteries are first signposted from the left hand junction of the Eceabat - Bigali road. From this junction you should travel into the main Anzac area. At 7.6kms., take a right turn to Chunuk Bair and initially take the road to Kemalyeri. At 10.3kms, Lone Pine will be found on the left. Lone Pine Cemetery stand on the plateau at the top of Victoria Gully.

Pieta Military Cemetery

The Cemetery is located in Triq id-Duluri (Our Lady of Sorrows Street), 2 kilometres south-west of Valletta on the road to Sliema. On the edge of the Gwardamanga district, the entrance is on Triq II-Principessa Melita, leading to Triq Tal-Pieta and Msida Sea Front and Creek. Cemetery address: Triq Id-Duluri, Pieta.
