Alamein Memorial
(1 casualty)Alamein is a village, bypassed by the main coast road, approximately 130 kilometres west of Alexandria on the road to Mersa Matruh. The first Commission road direction sign is located just beyond the Alamein police checkpoint and all cemetery visitors should turn off from the main road onto the parallel old coast road. The cemetery lies off the road beyond the ridge, and road direction signs are in place approximately 25 metres before the low metal gates and stone wing walls which are situated centrally at the road edge at the head of the access path into the cemetery. The Cross of Sacrifice feature may be seen from the road.

Athens Memorial
(1 casualty)The Athens Memorial stands within Phaleron War Cemetery, which lies a few kilometres to the south-east of Athens, at the boundary between old Phaleron district and Kalamaki district, on the coast road from Athens to Vouliaghmen.

Cambridge City Cemetery
(2 casualties)The cemetery is known locally as Newmarket Road Cemetery, and the site is open daily between 07.00 and 19.00 hours. The cemetery is located on the north-east outskirts of the city and is close to the airport. It will be found at the junction of Newmarket Road (A1303) and Ditton Lane. BY CAR: FROM CITY CENTRE: Follow signs for Newmarket and Airport. FROM LONDON & SOUTH: Approach Cambridge on the M11. At Junction 11 turn onto the A14 following signs for Newmarket and Ipswich. On the A14 take the third junction off signed for Cambridge, Horningsea and the airport. At the top of the slip road, turn right. After approximately three quarters of a mile there is a parade of shops on the left. The cemetery entrance is a further 100 metres on the left. The car park is on the right immediately after entering the cemetery. FROM NORTH: Approach Cambridge on the A14 south bound. At the start of the M11 follow signs for the A14 East towards Newmarket and Ipswich. On the A14 take the third junction off signed for Cambrdige, Horningsea and the airport. At the top of the slip road, turn right. After approximately three quarters of a mile there is a parade of shops on the left. The cemetery entrance is a further 100 metres on the left. The car park is on the right immediately after entering the cemetery. FROM NEWMARKET & THE EAST: Approach Cambridge on the A14 and take the first Cambridge exit which is signed for Stow-cum-Quay, Cambridge and airport. This is the A1303 Newmarket Road. At the top of the slip road turn left towards Cambridge. After passing the airport, on left hand side, the cemetery is on the right hand side. At the end of the cemetery fence is a junction which is controlled by traffic lights. Turn right at the junction into Ditton Lane. The cemetery entrance is approximately 30 metres on right. BY RAIL - From Railway Station: Take a taxi and ask for Newmarket Road Cemetery. (DO NOT ask for war cemetery or taxies go to the American Cemetery in Madingley, which is to the west of Cambridge and difficult to get back from.)

Rhodes War Cemetery
(1 casualty)Rhodes War Cemetery is in the southern outskirts of the town of Rhodes, on the west side of the road to Lindos, near the 3rd Kilometre stone, in the street Stef. Kazouli opposite the Italian, Jewish and Turkish Cemeteries.

Rome War Cemetery
(1 casualty)Rome War Cemetery lies alongside and within the Aurelian Wall of the ancient city of Rome. It is reached from the Piazza Venezia, the centre of Rome, by going down the Via dei Fori Imperiali, past the Coliseum, and along the Viale Aventino as far as the Porta San Paolo. Before reaching this gate and the monument Pyramid of Caius Cestius, take the road to the right along the wall of the so called Protestant Cemetery, in which are buried the poets Keats and Shelley. Across the road at the far end of that cemetery will be seen Rome War Cemetery, on Via Nicola Zabaglia 50, Monte Testaccio. Alternatively, take the metro and get off at Piramide Metro Station, which is close to Rome War Cemetery, on Via Nicola Zabaglia 50, Monte Testaccio.
