Biographical Notes:

It appears that there was an error made when Charles Randal Fitton's birth was registered. There is no Charles Fitton in the NZ Birth Index 1840-1902 nor in Births, Deaths and Marriages Online. However, a search on just his forenames in the NZ Birth Index 1840-1902 produced this result:

Name:
Charles Randall Fellow
Birth Date:
1884
Birth Place:
New Zealand
Father:
Matthew Fellow
Mother:
Isabella Fellow
Birth Registration Number:
1884/15145

A search on BDM Online using “Fellow - DOB 27/05/1884” produced Charles Randall Fellow; birth registration number, 1884/15145 , with parents Isabella and Matthew. It would be an extraordinary coincidence if someone other than Charles Randal Fitton was born on the same day, with the same forenames, and with parents with the same forenames as Charles Randal Fitton. It is assumed that Charles Randall Fellow is the same person as Charles Randal Fitton, and that some error was made in the registration of his birth.
