I have had the privilege of leaving Norm's last letter to my mother with the Army Museum at Waiorou. It was written a week before he died at Alamein. That letter was looked after by my mother since late 1941 until 2012. Then letter was written in the style of the times and are grateful to have had read it before passing it on for posterity. After my mother there will be no-one that knew Norm alive and that prospect is not nice. He and his mates must be held in the esteem they are due.
