My father left New Zealand when I was just two years old, and sadly I do not remember him. Right now I am transcribing about 200 of his letters written to my mother during the war years into a Word document for posterity, as the originals are getting fragile now. I am amazed at how much I can relate to this man whom I never really knew as his personality comes out in his letters.
